Child Tax Credit Awareness Day

The Child Tax Credit, part of the American Rescue Plan, is here to help families raising children make ends meet. All working families will get the full credit if they make up to $150,000 for a couple or $112,500 for a family with a single parent (also called head of household). The tax credit has been expanded to $3,000 per child 6-17 years old and $3,600 per child under 6. Click headline for more information.

FREE COVID-19 Vaccine Pop-Ups at Rio Vista (6/19) and Wilkerson (6/26)

The El Monte City School District in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, will be hosting two Pop-Up COVID-19 vaccine sites on 6/19 at Rio Vista and 6/26 at Wilkerson. No appointments are necessary. Pfizer vaccines available to anyone ages 12+ from 8am - 3pm. Click headline for more details.

Click headline to view the latest vaccine clinics available throughout the month of June. This month the El Monte City School District will be hosting two vaccine clinics for anyone ages 12 and up. The El Monte Union High School District will also be hosting a vaccine clinic starting on June 12th. All clinics are FREE!

EMCSD Celebrates New Retirees and Years of Service Honorees

As part of their End-of-the-Year festivities, the El Monte City School District held a drive-up celebration for their new retirees. The latest crop to cap their dry-erase markers were greeted with cheers and gifts as they said farewell to their colleagues. The District also honored service pin honorees as part of the celebration. The Los Angeles Department of Public Health hosted a Vaccine Town Hall for Parents on Wednesday, May 18, 2021 to inform parents of vaccine eligibility for children ages 12-15. Panelist, including Dr. Barbara Ferrer, explain facts, debunk myths, and answer questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
