Community Liaisons and Family Support

The El Monte City School District’s (EMCSD) Multi-Tiered System of Support framework recognizes that building strong home-school partnerships cultivates safe, inclusive, and nurturing school communities to ensure that all students will achieve positive outcomes. These partnerships involve families, educators, and community members working collaboratively to support students’ academic, behavior, and social-emotional development.

A community liaison is a dedicated school staff member who works to specifically serve as a bridge person in fostering home-school partnerships. EMCSD’s community liaisons help families to navigate the complexities of school systems and provides educational opportunities that enable parents/guardians to obtain knowledge and acquire skills to support their children’s learning. They also assist parents/guardians in accessing an abundance of resources within the school community.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s community liaison first. Below is a list of all school-based and district community liaisons.

El Monte City School District provides centralized access to community support and services through the Jeff Seymour Family Center.
