Counseling and Mental Health Supports

El Monte City School District strongly believe is promoting various counseling and mental health services to the community. Below you will find a list of different local services that are available to you.
Options for free mental health/therapy services:
 
USC Telehealth

Telehealth provides clients with free online counseling and psychotherapy services. Services are provided in English and Spanish and offered as weekly 50-minute appointments.
 
Casa Youth Shelter

Online free counseling for teens and families. Sessions are in-person only.
 
 
If you have private insurance:
  • Services are available through your insurance. Call the number on the back of your insurance card. You can also
    visit their website for referral information and other resources on how to support your mental health.
  • Parent/guardian may be able to request free services through their job’s EAP (Employee Assistance Program). They can ask their Human Resources Department for more info.
  • Visit https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists to search of private therapists in your area that may accept
    your insurance.
 
If you have Medi-Cal insurance or are uninsured (Medi-Cal can be with an insurance plan like LA Care, Blue Cross, Health Net, or Kaiser), the agencies below offer services. You may also call LA County Access Line for more information on accessing services: (800) 854-7771.
