Fine & Performing Arts

EMCSD continues to provide a robust arts education and is committed to continuing to grow the program. Teachers learn new art techniques through ongoing professional development and use those techniques to integrate art throughout the curriculum. This learning is evidenced at the many arts nights and art showcases that celebrate our student artists.

In addition to comprehensive music education for all students, our Musical Theater productions are full blown musicals! Students meet after school to practice their lines, exercise their vocal chords and learn their dance moves. This opportunity is available to students from kindergarten to 8th grade. We are especially proud of this program as only 4% of elementary schools throughout the nation provide musical theater.  Research shows that inclusion of these opportunities contributes to academic and social emotional growth.
