After School Enrichment

ASPIRE- Supports rigorous and meaningful instruction with applicable connections to the real world, LEARN works to create environments of exploration and learning through hands-on activities focused on student interests and classroom knowledge.  LEARN works to understand the direction and goals of the leadership at each school.  By working with school leadership, LEARN works to focus on the specific needs of each site.

KidsPlay - An organized athletic club for boys and girls in grades 3rd – 8th. Coaches are trained in each sport and students participate in organized league play in Basketball, Olympic Team Handball, Cross Country, Flag Football, Volleyball and Olympic Events.

José Hernández Mariachi Academy is part of the After School Enrichment Program at Potrero and Wright Schools.  The Academy is taught by mariachi artists who possess the requisite teaching skills and the desire to work with children to further promote this vibrant mariachi art form.  The program is open to forty students, fifth through eighth grade, and meet twice a week for two hour sessions.
