FARM TO SCHOOL AWARD RECIPIENTS!
El Monte City School District is a CDFA Farm to School Incubator Grant recipient! EMCSD plans to use the $200,000 in funding to connect students to locally grown and sourced fresh fruits and vegetables. This 2-year project will provide study trip opportunities to local farms, expand the Harvest of the Month curriculum throughout classrooms and cafeterias, and feature locally produced fruits and vegetables on lunch line salad bar.
