COVID-19 Vaccine & Testing Resources

Los Angeles County Department of Public Health VACCINE TOWN HALL for PARENTS
Dear EMCSD Families,
 
Earlier this week, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents 12 to 15 years of age. Beginning Thursday, May 13, Los Angeles County vaccination providers will begin offering the Pfizer vaccine for this age group at vaccination sites that offer the Pfizer vaccine. Teens should be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult, and present a photo ID and verification of age.
 
On Tuesday, May 18 at 6 p.m., the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health will hold a Vaccine Town Hall for Parents to provide the latest update on COVID-19 vaccines, including information for children. You can watch on:

ALL RESIDENTS WHO LIVE OR WORK IN LA COUNTY AGED 12 AND OLDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINE 
 
If you are aged 12+ and live or work in LA County, you're eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Please register for a vaccine using https://myturn.ca.gov/ or visit http://vaccinatelacounty.com/ for more information. If you need assistance scheduling a vaccine, please call (833) 540-0473 between 8:00am and 8:30pm.
 
COVID-19 vaccines are FREE. Health insurance is NOT REQUIRED. Immigration status WILL NOT affect your eligibility. 
 
*If you are age 12-17, you are ONLY eligible for the Pfizer vaccine and you must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult, and present a photo ID and verification of age.*

FREE COVID-19 Testing available at the Jeff Seymour Family Center
COVID-19 Testing at the Jeff Seymour Family Center is FREE. NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED - WALKUPS AVAILABLE.
 
Testing is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10am - 6pm. Testing center is located at the Jeff Seymour Family Center, 10900 Mulhall St., El Monte, CA 91731

FREE COVID-19 Vaccine (Pfizer) available at Shirpser School & Potrero School
 
In partnership with the Jeff Seymour Family Center, CSC Community Health Center, LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis, City of El Monte, Our Savior Center, Active SGV, and Day One El Monte, the El Monte City School District will be providing free COVID-19 popup vaccination sites in May. Appointments and Walk-ups are available for anyone ages 16+ from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm on the following dates:
