Permits

There are three (3) types of permits that the El Monte City School District (EMCSD) offers for TK-8th grade:

• Intra-district
• Incoming Inter-district Acceptance Permit
• Outgoing Inter-district Release Permit

Please note that the permit process takes time to complete. Transportation will not be provided for students attending on any type of permit. EMCSD will not cover or be held responsible for additional costs incurred by students who choose to attend school in a different district.
